This is the one cohort that cannot argue MCP is irrelevant to them. Against the open web it looks like a different planet: server cards are roughly ten times more common here than in the 501-domain open-web pilot.
Against the population that actually runs servers, it looks worse. A smaller share of this
cohort publishes a server card than of the registry organisations in the main census, and only two
of them publish /.well-known/ai-catalog.json, the location the current proposal defers
to. The people on stage are not ahead of the people they are talking to.
